Growth Orientation
Being oriented toward growth means we believe that learning is related to effort, not skill. This means we are continually giving and receiving feedback to make our work more effective. This also promotes positive perspectives that are critical for a productive school climate.
Collaboration
Working together can increase the quantity and quality of our output as we learn from each other and continually improve. Collaboration develops empathy and promotes equity.
Kindness
When we recognize the inherent worth of every person and value the opportunity to spend a part of our life with them, it is likely that our actions become considerate. This helps us learn from each other’s diverse experiences and build meaningful relationships.
Communication
With limited time and resources, knowing where we’re headed, how we’re getting there, and how we’re progressing is critical for success.
Leadership
No single person has all the answers, but with individual initiative supported by collaborative processes, we can try new things and improve. We don’t fear failure in the pursuit of improvement because we hold ourselves accountable for continued growth and support each other in the process.
