Our Core Values

Our Commitments
Antioch Middle teachers, staff, and administrators commit to:
- Fostering community in each classroom and caring for every student holistically.
- Setting challenging expectations for achievement and teaching students effective strategies for learning.
- Adjusting how they teach based on individual student needs.
- Providing feedback to students and contacting families if any assessment grade is lower than a 70.
- Contacting families to check on absent students.
- Being consistent with our expectations, fair in our approach, and restorative in our relationships.
- Recognizing and rewarding progress and achievement
Antioch Middle families commit to:
- Ensuring my child is in dress code (collared shirt and khaki-style pants/shorts/skirt) before they leave the house.
- If my child has a mobile phone, reminding them to either put it in their locker all day at school or leave it at home.
- Reminding my child to bring their laptop, charger, and binder to every class every day.
- Bringing my child to school by 8:50 AM so they have time to arrive in class by 8:55. If I bring my child to school after 8:55 AM, I will come inside the office to sign them in.
- Making sure that my child attends school every day unless they are sick and sending an excuse note to the office as soon as they return from an absence.
- Maintaining accurate phone numbers, email addresses, and mailing addresses by updating Campus Portal or notifying the school office.
- Reviewing and responding as needed to school communications consistently, including emails, call-out messages, report cards, progress reports, permission slips, and letters.
- Contacting a teacher or administrator if I have any question or concern.
- Keeping track of my child’s grades, attendance, and behavior information in Campus Portal and class assignments in Schoology. (Account login info provided by the school.)
- Asking my child about their academic work, their progress, and their feelings regularly.
- Making every effort to attend school family events, including Open House, parent-teacher conferences, family nights, and athletic and arts events.
- Reading, understanding, and abiding by this Handbook.
Antioch Middle students commit to:
